Telstar vs NEC Nijmegen, 16 January 2027, Eredivisie: form, head-to-head and match facts

Telstar host NEC Nijmegen in what promises to be a tightly contested fixture, with the home side sitting fifth on five points after one win, two draws and three defeats, scoring five and conceding eleven. The visitors sit just above them in tenth place, having collected seven points from two victories, a draw and three losses, and boast a slightly better goal difference at 11‑12. Both clubs have struggled for consistency this season, and the narrow gap in points suggests a battle for the mid‑table spots. Given their similar records, the encounter could easily swing in either direction, making it a key test for both teams as they look to climb the table.
