Rayo Vallecano vs Sevilla, 17 January 2027, La Liga: form, head-to-head and match facts

Rayo Vallecano host a struggling Sevilla side that sit fifth with ten points after three wins, a draw and a loss. The Madrid‑based club sit just above the relegation zone on four points from five games, having scored only eight while conceding 14, whereas Sevilla boast a positive goal difference of +2, having netted eight and let in six. The two teams have met only sparingly in recent seasons, but the gap in form suggests Sevilla will enter the encounter as clear favourites. For Rayo, a point would be a vital boost in their fight to climb out of the bottom half, while Sevilla will look to consolidate their position among the league’s top‑five.
