Málaga vs Real Madrid, 17 January 2027, La Liga: form, head-to-head and match facts

Málaga host Real Madrid in what promises to be a stark contrast of fortunes in the league. The Andalusian side sit 17th with just three points from six games, having failed to win any matches and conceding eight goals while only scoring twice. In stark opposition, Real Madrid sit second on 12 points, boasting four victories, a solid defensive record of four goals conceded and a prolific attack that has netted 14. The gap in both points and goal difference underscores the uphill battle Málaga face, while the visitors will look to consolidate their push for the title. A win for Real would widen the chasm at the top, whereas a draw could offer the struggling hosts a lifeline in the relegation fight.
