Empoli vs Modena, 16 January 2027, Serie B: form, head-to-head and match facts

Empoli host Modena in what promises to be a decisive clash in the Serie B table, with the home side sitting twelfth on six points after two wins and three defeats, scoring four and conceding six. Modena sit comfortably in fourth place on ten points, having amassed three victories, a draw and a single loss while boasting an 8‑4 goal difference. The gap in form and firepower suggests the visitors will enter the game as clear favourites, yet Empoli’s recent win‑less run could make them eager to snap up a vital point on their own turf. A positive result for either club could dramatically reshape the mid‑table battle as the season progresses.
