Empoli vs Avellino, 13 March 2027, Serie B: form, head-to-head and match facts

Empoli host Avellino in what promises to be a tightly contested Serie B clash, with the home side sitting twelfth on six points after two wins and three defeats, scoring four and conceding six. Avellino sit just above them in eighth place with seven points, having amassed two victories, a draw and two losses while edging a superior goal tally of seven for and six against. The narrow one‑point gap and the slight edge in goal difference give Avellino a marginal advantage, but Empoli will be eager to close the gap on their rivals on their own turf. Both teams will be looking to turn their mixed early‑season form into momentum as the race for the top half of the table intensifies.
